Not long ago, we spoke about the high school children from Harbin coming to RUDN University to study the Russian language, and today the summer cycle of cultural and educational events – which became the first joint project of Peoples’ Friendship University if Russia named after Patrice Lumumba and the High School affiliated with Harbin Pedagogical University – has come to an end.
The participants were offered workshops, lectures, and activities designed to help them gain a deeper understanding of Russia's culture and traditions.
The program proved to be truly eventful. Workshops were held on the following topics: "Russian Calligraphy and Chinese Calligraphy – a Dialogue of Cultures" and "Russian Folk Crafts." The students also went on numerous excursions to Moscow's landmarks, including the Alexander Garden, GUM, Red Square, Zaryadye Park, the National Center "Russia," Izmailovo, Kolomenskoye, VDNKh, the Museum of Cosmonautics, the Moskva River embankment, and the Luzhniki Sports Complex.
In addition, the Chinese school children prepared their own projects as part of the workshop "Digital Content Development."
We were delighted to welcome the high school children from Harbin and sincerely hope that this series of events will mark the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation. RUDN University always welcomes talented and motivated students. We look forward to welcoming the school children from Harbin as our students next year.
