On July 27, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN University) hosted the grand opening of the summer cycle of cultural and educational events for students from the High School affiliated to the Harbin Pedagogical University.
The high school students from Harbin came to Russia with the goal of studying the Russian language, as well as to explore the country's rich cultural heritage and engage with their peers through an intensive educational program. The participants were offered a variety of workshops, lectures, and activities designed to help them gain a deeper understanding of Russia and broaden their social and academic networks.
The program's participants are students of the High School affiliated to the Harbin Pedagogical University - a prestigious institution with strong academic traditions and a high standard of student training, which rightfully commands great respect in Harbin.
The school's track record is impressive: its graduation admission rate to elite universities, including those ranked among China's top ten, reaches 97-99 %. Its students consistently earn top prizes at national Olympiads and are annually admitted to leading international universities.
This year, the school was granted special status: a RUDN Applicant Preparation Center was established on its premises.
In May, during the international educational fair "RUDN - Russian Education Day in Harbin," School Director Liu Zhencheng expressed his confidence that the establishment of the RUDN Applicant Preparation Center would help strengthen cooperation between China and Russia while expanding the training of Russian-speaking professionals. In turn, Natalia Syulkova, Chief Expert of the RUDN International Office, noted that RUDN University would continue to support the school in teaching Russian and developing academic curricula.
We sincerely wish the students a bright, inspiring, and truly unforgettable stay at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba!
