Required Documents for Admission to Bachelor’s, Specialist, Master’s


  • Educational Document

a copy of the educational certificate or qualification if necessary, a certified translation into Russian

  • Passport

a scanned copy of the passport or other identity document

  • Personal Data Consent

a signed consent form for personal data processing

  • Medical Certificate

- a copy of the medical certificate confirming:

    - no contraindications for studying in Russia
    - negative HIV and AIDS test results

  • Additional Documents (if applicable)

Copies of any other relevant documents, such as:

    - certificates of victory in international Olympiads
    - awards from professional competitions


List of Portfolio Criteria for Bachelor’s and Specialist Programs

Criteria Maximum amount of points
1 Average score based on the results of studies at the previous level of education, including the results of studies in specialized subjects. 100–86 (5,0) – 65 points
85–69 (4,0–4,9) – 50 points
68–51(3,9–3,0) – 30 points
2 Achievements in academic and extracurricular activities, certificates, diplomas, etc. 10 points
3 Applicant status based on participation in competitions / olympiads for foreign nationals of Russian educational organizations (winner) / (runner-up) (only one status is considered) 20 points (winner)
10 points (runner-up)
4 Recommendations (or other similar documents) from educational institutions, public organizations, unions, associations, Russian overseas institutions, foreign diplomatic missions, etc. 5 points
Total Maximum of 100 points

2 Achievements in academic and extracurricular activities, certificates, diplomas, etc. 5 points
3 Presence of a certificate confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign/ Russian language 20 points
4 Applicant status based on participation in competitions/olympiads for foreign nationals of Russian educational organizations (winner) / (runner-up) (only one status is considered). 10 points (winner) /
5 points (runner-up)
5 Motivational letter. 3 points
6 Volunteering activities 3 points
7 Position in the rankings of the university whose graduate is applying to RUDN. 9 points
8 Recommendations (or other similar documents) from educational institutions, public organizations, unions, associations, Russian overseas institutions, foreign diplomatic missions, etc. 5 points
