Conditions for Affiliation

At RUDN University, it is possible to prepare a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sciences without completing a postgraduate study program for training scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel. Affiliation is allowed under the following conditions:

• RUDN has a dissertation council for the defense of Candidate of Sciences dissertations, authorized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to conduct defenses in the corresponding scientific specialty, and/or
• RUDN has a dissertation council established in accordance with clause 3.1 of Article 4 of the Federal Law on Science in the relevant scientific specialty, and/or
• RUDN conducts educational activities under higher education programs — specifically, postgraduate training programs for scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel.
